Default Cheap Arse Games Part 11: Shatter

Long time no see cheap gamers. I'm back with more cheap games you can get on PSN. This is part 11: Broken Edition, or maybe I should say shattered edition.

Game: Shatter
Price: $7.99
Genre: Puzzle
Add on(s): No

Description from Playstation.com

Quote:

Shatter™ supercharges the brick-breaking genre with Boss battles, physics effects, power-ups and special attacks. Intuitive and visceral controls give you the power to break free from the machine across 10 vibrant and distinct 3D worlds. Shatter™ features multiple game modes, leaderboards and trophies, and a fully scored soundtrack with over 90 minutes of original music.
This game is great. This has to be one of the best brick breaking games every. Hell I'll even argue its the best brick breaking games. This offers 10 worlds, each world with different stages. Beautiful graphics and a wonderful soundtrack macks this game a pleasure to look at and listen too.

You probably wondering what makes this game different from the average brick breaking game. For starters you have more control over the ball. You can use L1 or L2 to pull the ball and R1 or R2 to push it. You can get really advance with it. Making the ball curve to a block or make it hit multiple blocks. You can use the pull controls to suck in shards after you break a brick. But watch out you can pull in loose bricks. You can use the shards on your shield or the shared storm. Unlike some brick breaking games you should expect anything. Some bricks float and if they hit you you'll be knocked out of play for a second. Knocked out of play=chance for you to miss your ball. That's where your shield comes in handy. Also every ball you have counts as a life. You can send out all the balls(your lives) out once. Lose them all lose the game. Another thing is this game has bosses, tough ones at that. When you get to the end of a world you have to face a boss to get to the next world.

In the end this game is cheap and fun. I'm hopping for DLC cause you'll want to play more after the 10 worlds. There's a boss rush mode. You'll still want more. But you can always try for the leader boards or to beat your friends scores. Oh and I almost forgot. For the trophy fiends this has easy trophies. Just saying.

Gameplay
